I’m an existing LBP. How do I access the LBP portal?
The LBP portal was replaced on 3 October 2022. If you’re an existing LBP and have not yet accessed the current LBP portal, you will need to set up your access before you log in.

How do I request a licence pack and an ID card?
As of October 2022, we are no longer issuing licence packs or plastic ID cards for licensed building practitioners.
If you have an active licence, you can download a digital licence by visiting the LBP portal. You may print this digital licence, or save it to your device.

How do I download my digital licence?
If you have an active licence, you can download your digital licence by visiting the LBP portal. You will need to log into the portal with your username and password.

Can I submit a paper application?
If you wish to submit an application or request, we encourage you to do this online through the LBP portal so that this can be received and processed as soon as possible.
If you’re not able to complete an application or request online, you can submit a paper-based application instead. You will need to post the completed application to us, along with your supporting information.

Translation Service
If English isn't your first language, we have a free telephone interpreting service available. Interpreters are available for many different languages. Call us after 9.00am, ask for a translator and tell us which language you speak. Hold the line and we'll get an interpreter within a couple of minutes.
