Consolidated Licensed Building Practitioner Rules 2007
The LBP Rules 2007 (the Rules) are set by the Building Practitioners Board. To become licensed, or continue to be licensed, building practitioners must comply with the Rules.

Record of Work (Construction)
The Record of Work is the form all LBPs who work on a building site and carry out Restricted Building Work must complete. It has to be made available to the building owner so he can pass it to the BCA and receive their CCC.
Who it's for: All Licensed Building Practitioners must fill out the form if they carry out Restricted Building Work or supervise it. -
Certificate of Work (Design)
The form identifies Restricted Building Work.
Who it's for: Under Restricted Building Work, architectural designers, architects and engineers must fill in this form and hand it in with the Building Consent application. -
Supervision
Guidance for LBPs supervising unlicensed people. The practice note sets out standards, types and limitations of supervision.

Terms and conditions for the use of the LBP logo
The LBP logo may only be used by:
• Individual LBPs
• A body corporate identified as being associated with an (LBP). Licensing is for individuals — bodies corporate must not promote themselves as being licensed, but may advertise that they engage LBPs.

Standards
Over 120 building standards used for Building Code compliance have been funded for free download(external link) thanks to a collaboration between MBIE and Standards New Zealand. The purpose of funded standards is to reduce barriers to compliance with the Building Code.
